Lots to do for the whole family. Day long activities including a canoe & kayak race, a mountain bike time trial, a trail running/walking race, a scavenger hunt adventure, climbing wall, face painting, and more. Excluding the beer garden, the Rock the River event is free to everyone. The Fredericksburg Dog Mart is descendant from an event that was established in 1698 to facilitate trade between the Pamunkey Indians and the settlers of what would become Fredericksburg. The Indians would trade their produce and furs for English hunting dogs the settlers raised.
Admission: Parking at this event is $5.00 per carload to be paid at the gate. Bring the whole family including the dogs!!

TFP will have a table at the Faire where we will have information on the rescue and how to foster and volunteer with us, educational materials and our great tee shirts for sale. The Faire is a two-day event and TFP will be there both days.
Dress up if you’d like! Be a fairy, forrest nymph, witch or wizard, or maybe a fortune teller…..whatever you’d like to be! There will be vendors of all kinds. Tarot readers, intuitives, artists, artisans, games speakers, workshops, demonstrations and performances. Hope to see you there!

Come join us for a pawsome event, the Dog Days of Summer! This is an evening dedicated to celebrating the joy and companionship our furry friends bring into our lives. Visit Furever’s booth and meet some or our great adoptables, purchase one of our great tee shirts (all proceeds benefit TFP) while e njoying local food trucks, good music, and refreshing beverages. It's the perfect opportunity to meet fellow dog lovers around the fire pits and share stories about your beloved pups! You can also participate a doggy talent show where your four-legged pals can showcase their skills and win amazing prizes. The doggy talent show will take place in front of the dairy barn at 6pm. So mark your calendars and make sure to join us at the Dog Days of Summer event. There will also be contest throughout the day, one of which is a costume contest! There is a small admission fee to the festival, $15/adults, kids 5+/$10, and kids 4 and under free. Of course we will have some great adoptable dogs there for you to meet and fall in love with. We will have lots of free dog education material available, and our great tee shirts for sale (all proceeds benefit the rescue).
